Our program provided free walk-up kayaking for 12,250 people, including nearly 1,300 children. Over 3,100 of those participants were repeat visitors. (We love our neighborhood regulars!) We had 96 people attend a new volunteer orientation in 2024 to learn how to get involved with MCBH. In total, our volunteers clocked over 756 volunteer shifts, which amounts to more than 2,500 volunteer hours contributed this year. We taught 35 classes on paddling skills and water safety, attended by a combined 229 volunteers. Over 127 volunteers practiced on-water kayak rescues. A combined 231 volunteers participated in volunteer trips over the course of the season.
