STEM NOLA for Military Families
DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE - STEM NOLA provided hands-on STEM exposure, learning, and early career development activities to military-connected children and their families while building a comprehensive STEM learning ecosystem in certain areas; our major goals focused on (1) continuing establishing military contacts in service areas, (2) Connecting with school boards through military contacts, (3) Kit distribution, (4) Operation Logistics and locations, (5) STEM-focused summer camps. JEFFERSON PARISH SCHOOLS - 3,371 students participated in STEM NOLA's hands-on, inquiry-based activates and events designed to supplement STEM curriculum requirements at every grade level, as well as teacher development packages.
