Trade School for Afghan Refugees
Afghan Refugees - When the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021, thousands of families were displaced. Many found their way to India where they have very limited legal protections and even fewer work opportunities. Many of the refugees are famers by trade but were required to stay in densely populated cities in India with no farming opportunities. Impact Nations opened a trade school where refugees were able to gain marketable skills such as sewing and culinary arts. Upon graduation, 100% of the students were placed into quality jobs so that they can provide for their families.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$83.7KJourneys of Compassion Initiative
