    Community Food Give-away; receive monthly food boxes supplemented with meat bread eggs milk and holiday trimmings during Easter Thanksgiving Christmas. Families drive by present identification with address how many are in the family and boxes are given away until all are gone. Food is distributed monthly. 14,287 individuals.

  • International Multicultural Celebrations

    International Multicultural Celebrations 500 Black History 600 in attendance: To celebrate the diversity of the City of Lemon Grove to promote racial understanding and healing. Ethnicities include European German Hispanics African Americans and Asians. Each share their music foods wear traditional clothing to the enjoyment of all. Food vendors have tables of food representing a culture that can be purchased at each events.

    Thrive Lemon Grove Community Organic Garden - 43 raised beds are rented out with two saved for senior apartments and low-income housing. Gardening classes are help monthly and renters learn more about small grow bags planting soil and water conservation. Food preparation education classes recipe cards are shared and the community members can purchase items from the mobile food truck.
