  • Inventing Me and Working On Me Programs

    Starting Point - Out-of-School Time Expanded Learning funds are used to implement Inventing Me and Working On Me with St. Martin de Porres Family Center for after-school and summer programming. Inventing Me. 45 school-age youth participated in after-school and summer programming. Youth participants were engaged in literacy skill-building through hands-on science experiments. Grant funding Starting Point $600 Working On Me - St Martin de Porres Summer Camp Middle school youth are engaged in technopreneurship training workshops designed to help youth engage in business start-ups using technology. Each year the program hosts a Through Their Eyes challenge.

  • Through Their Eyes Project

    Through Their Eyes: Obtaining Understanding Through Photographic Expression and Self-Exploration TTE: PES The Through Their Eyes concept allows participants to engage in self-discovery. Self-discovery for From Me 2 U Inc. FM2U can include exploring participants' internal feelings about themselves their lifestyle personal challenges or how a social issue has impacted their lives. Through Their Eyes provides a platform of expression. The photographic aspect of the project illustrates how the platform will be displayed to the public through photography often referred to as photovoice. Participants will engage in coaching counseling and support sessions as needed as FM2U understands that although developing your voice came to be a healing process it also uncovers hurt pain and sometimes even shame. We want this to be a safe healing experience; we are including licensed therapists and therapists in training on our team during every session.
