Counseling Support for Adoptees
In 2022 ASA's counseling program provided 593 hours of counseling support. ASA runs three ongoing support groups- one for adoptive parents of teenagers young adults one for adult adoptees and one for parents who have adopted from foster care in partnership with another community nonprofit that serves foster parents.Each group meets monthly and serves 3 to 7 participants monthly. We offered a parenting class called "Being With: A Parent Course" to 20 parents.
