    PORTLAND AREA ARTIST EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND - Due to COVID closures, NEW provided a one time program to meet the growing needs for artists in the Portland area because of ongoing health and economic crisis. It benefitted artists residing in Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas.

  • Program 2 [2020]

    Choreographers Residency Program - 6 choreographers received incubation space a modest stipend to develop a 20 minute long new work. 6 choreographers and 18 collaborators benefited from this program. Normally there would be a performance element involved but due to COVID we were not able to fulfil that option.

  • Program 3 [2020]

    Affordable performance, teaching, rehearsal, incubation space spanning cultural and artistic genres and physical abilities. Regular multicultural weekly classes, 12 new performance works (first 3 months of the year, after which COVID hit) and dance workshops were presented at N.E.W.
