Family Sustainability Program
Family SustainabilityWe believe that all families should have the resources to achieve their goals. Within this pillar of our work, the Opportunity Hub is the primary program and serves as a place where families can partner with us as they move their households from crisis to sustainability. The Opportunity Hub includes the Community Market, a choice food pantry that addresses food access in our community. Each year, we partner with around 600 families, and over 80% of partner families demonstrate progress on their goals each year.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$302.2KResident Leadership Initiatives

Within these initiatives and across our entire organization, we are committed to evaluating existing power structures, engaging with our community, and compensating all people for their expertise and time. These initiatives include the Washing Well laundromat, where resident-led staff ensures consistent access to affordable laundry; LPH Community Gardens, green spaces that bring residents together to engage in the art of growing food; Clean & Green Team, a group of residents who beautify the neighborhood; The Collective, a group of residents who facilitate creative, community opportunities; Neighborhood Action Team, a coalition of residents who organize community voice and develop community initiatives; and Justice League, a youth activism and leadership development program targeted towards teens and young adults. Each year, we partner with more than 100 neighbors on identifying community needs, organizing resident voices, supporting leadership development, and launching community initiatives.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$369.5KThriving Community Development
