Read to Me Project
Provided books and instruction for 1063 elementary students in low income schools in Monterey County to read to approximately 1329 younger siblings at home. 1011 additional students (those without little ones at home) participated in the classroom sessions learning about brain development in small children and better reading techniques. We also held classes for parents and teen parents.
