Trap, Neuter and Return Program
Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR): In 2021, Bastrop Cats coordinated Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) to 1057 cats in our community. Of these 548 were female and 484 were males. Of the 548 females sterilized, 114 were pregnant, 92 were in heat and 39 were lactating. In 2021, 787 of these cats were over 1 year in age, 170 were juveniles between 6 months and 1 year and 140 were younger than 6 months of age. In the last 4 years, 3592 total cats have been sterilized, 1997 were females and 1564 were males. This has prevented hundreds of cats and kittens from entering our overburdened county animal shelter.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2021Source990No causes providedNo populations provided––Medical Care for Cats
