Program 1 [2020]
In 2020, Man Up and Go continued to fight for the fatherless in Uganda, Ethiopia, the Dominican Republic, and the United States. Internationally, 86 children received a Christian education and food security through our Child Sponsorship program, with over 150,000 meals being distributed in the process through local feeding initiatives. 86 men enrolled in our Authentic Masculinity Program in Ethiopia and Uganda. Of these 92% graduated to Phase 3 and received microloans to start or enhance an existing business, with 100% of the men reporting growing in biblical masculinity and recommending the program to others. The pandemic slowed team trips to serve internationally but opened up major doors on the U.S. front, as many foster families and children requested services. 29 families received ongoing monthly wraparound support services, and nearly 500 caregivers received aid or assistance of some kind. Over $200,000 worth of food was distributed in a partnership with Grace Family Church and USDA. 93% of foster families reported their lives being made more manageable and 92% reported feeling more emotionally supported because of the services received. These services were rendered by the 149 male volunteers recruited and trained to serve and support foster and adoptive children and families by Man Up and Go.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$324.8KMan Up and Go Programs
2022 was a banner year in Man Up and Go's continued fight for the fatherless around the globe as Jesus commands. One of the major areas of growth was in garnering public support for the organization's mission, as incoming revenue more than doubled over the preceding year. Man Up and Go also provided thought-leadership and expertise to government agencies on best practices to reduce the number of fatherless children in the world, including its role in the unanimously passed HB7065 in Florida, which aims to increase fatherhood engagement at all levels. Coaching and mentoring programs designed to stabilize, encourage, and equip young men affected by fatherlessness saw the following outcomes: males enrolled in our programs were more likely to achieve stable housing, avoid incarceration, address mental health, and incur stable employment and/or higher education, when compared with the national average of those who have aged out of foster care system. In the state of Florida, these programs provided a financial ROI of 435%, saving taxpayers an estimated $2,179,463. Programs aimed at supporting foster and adoptive families across the country produced over 95% retention of foster families, with 100% reporting being emotionally, spiritually, and/or physically supported because of the services provided. Internationally, 90 children were supported with daily food and a Christian education, thousands of children were fed and given the hope of the Gospel through our partners' Super Saturday program, and over 100 men successfully completed our year-long Authentic Masculinity Program. These men are now more likely to have a healthy respect for women, take a more active role in parenting, and are better financial providers for their families based on pre/post testing because of the training they received. Most importantly, several men gave their hearts to Jesus!GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$988.2K
