  • Tutoring and Financial Aid Program

    In 2022:LearnUp served 143 individual students.They attended a total of 6,179 hours of tutoring.Over 40% of LearnUp Independent students received some amount of financial aid.With our program partners, we provided tuition free tutoring to an additional 22 students from low income families. We also partnered with the San Francisco Unified School District and served an additional 18 students who were primarily from low income families.The average LearnUp student attended 43 sessions, made 1.1 grade levels of reading growth and 10 words correct per minute in fluency.Individual Program StatisticsBoys and Girls Clubs of San Francisco31 students servedThe average LearnUp BGCSF student attended 26 sessions and gained .8 grade levels in reading and 7.5 words correct per minute in fluency.KIPP SF Bay Academy14 students servedThe average LearnUp KIPP student attended an average of 32 sessions and gained 1.5 grade levels in reading and 3.5 words correct per minute in fluency.Independent Families with LearnUP Scholarships/Financial Aid59 Independent students received financial aid ranging from discounted to free tutoring.The average LearnUp Independent student attended an average of 59 sessions and gained 1.3 grades in reading growth level and 14 words per minute in fluency.
