Education Support for Maasai Students
KCEA funded efforts that arranged and paid for the education mentoring and logistical support of 70 Maasai students 69 female 1 male: in secondary boarding schools 64 students primary boarding schools 4 students and university 2 students. Students families are from small villages in the vicinity of Ewaso Ngiro in the rift valley of Kenya. Developing community infrastructure: KCEA funded the completion in 2024 of two projects initiated in 2023: a staff housing for the primary school in Nkoisuash village to enhance teacher recruitment and retention refer to 2023 EZ-990; and b rescue housing for students in Nkoisuash village refer to 2023 EZ-990. Additionally KCEA in collaboration with its Kenyan partner MCESP successfully executed two other projects: c the installation of solar power for the community milk collection facility in Ewaso Ngiro to reduce costs and ensure a stable power supply during frequent outages the facility serves about 500 people during peak milk production season; and d the construction of latrines for the church and community resource center in Olenchokoine village in compliance with Kenyan regulations and public health standards which serves about 100 people.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$0Flood Relief Assistance
Flood relief in 2024 there was a flood of historic proportions in Maasailand around Narok Kenya. KCEA funded flood relief for the students families and villages including clothes food mattresses.
