  • Academic Support and Mentoring for Children

    LP serve children who need academic and mentoring support to supplement classroom education. Students face one or more obstacles: learning disabilities, inadequate educational support, or language barriers. Tutoring is vital to closing their achievement gap.Our goals are to foster a genuine love of learning and to help students achieve academic success. We design lesson plans to strengthen the unique way students learn best and to foster confidence in their ability to be successful in school. Historically, 80% of students have shown gains of at least two reading levels.LP welcome children of all academic abilities, ethnicities, faiths, and socioeconomic backgrounds. We value diversity and intentionally cultivate a diverse student body, staff, and volunteers. LP reached 110 children, 75% of whom received scholarships to attend our program.
