    Online Publication Black Perspectives: The majority of the annual expenses this last fiscal year was spent on publishing our popular blog BLACK Perspectives which has provided a space for scholars in disparate fields to discuss the many aspects of teaching and researching Black intellectual history. The blog is today the leading online platform for public scholarship on global Black thought history and culture. It is both free and open to the public. This past year we have had about 480,000 readers engage our platform.

  • Program 2 [2020]

    Awards & Fellowships: Funds were expended in support of our annual prizes and fellowships which are awarded to students professors and members of the general public who are studying and researching Black history and culture. This past year our awards included a book prize one research fellowship an article prize and a graduate student paper prize.

  • Program 3 [2020]

    Annual Conference: Held each spring our annual conference brings together hundreds of scholars. The bulk of the conference expenses go to keynote speakers food and beverages and additional fees for securing hosting site. This year we had about 285 people in attendance out of 350 registrants.
