Community Support and Outreach Programs
During the year of 2021, the ELHI Community Center was able to reach out to the community of Ignacio by offering low-cost rental space to five nonprofits and four small or new businesses as well offering a free space for community outreach events such as food distribution from multiple agencies, public health information/training and vaccine programs. In collaboration with our amazing tenants, we are able to provide a place for programs that offer after school activities for elementary through high school students including art, run club, gymnastics, peer leadership clubs, social-emotional based learning and skill building activities and more. We are also able to offer low-cost space for a community clothing closet that provides free clothing, and 13 classrooms and a gym to a local Christian school. Each of these services are greatly needed in and around Ignacio and we are grateful to be a part of meeting that need.
