TO SEEK TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL BY MEETING CRITICAL PHYSICAL NEEDS OF VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES THROUGH PROVISION OF FOOD, CLOTHING AND SHELTER; ASSISTING VETERANS IN ACCESSING BENEFITS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION (VA) AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS; COORDINATING AND/OR PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION AS NEEDED TO THE VA OR OTHER SERVICE PROVIDERS; COORDINATING ACCESS TO SHORT TERM SHELTER AND DEVELOPING LONG TERM SHELTER OPTIONS; AND ASSISTING IN LONG TERM TRANSITION OF VETERANS TO INDEPENDEDNT MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
