Pet Adoption And Care Program
Pet adoptions - adopting homeless animals into permanent homes weekly at designated adoption locations. This activity includes vaccinating, spaying/neutering and providing other veterinary care to adoptable animals. Fostering homeless animals until they are ready to be placed in a permanent home, requiring supplies and medical care. TNR Team - In 2022, Heart of America Humane Society added a Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) team. This team traps, neuters, and releases feral/community cats back to their location. Altering these cats will help control the number of unwanted litters of kittens in the Greater Kansas City Area.
