Kansas City Artists Coalition Exhibitions
The Kansas City Artists Coalition KCAC is respected nationally as a vital alternative exhibition space. We showcase local and regional artists, as well as national and international artists. The KCAC is the primary support system for artists who do not create commercially viable artwork and for independent artists. The KCAC galleries provide an exciting venue for artist work. There are 1,200 square feet of exhibition space in two galleries. Since 1976 we have presented over 750 exhibitions and 4,700 artists with an estimated attendance of over 290,000 people.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$66.1KArtist Professional Development
Workshops and lectures provide opportunites for artists to learn professional skills and network with other artists. In November 2019, the KCAC began providing 10 artist studio spaces to tenants at below market cost. This opportunity has provided artists with low cost and safe studio space which they can access 24/7/365. These studios give artists space to grow and create their business as they endeavor to become career artists.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$54.6KCommunity Arts Education and Support
Audience education on the importance of arts and the support of artists in our community is another key role of KCAC. We work to support and build awareness of contemporary art and its fundemental role in the growth of a vibrant Kansas City community. This is achieved through making all our programming and exhibitions free and accessible to the public as well as working with marginalized communities to hold place and space in our gallaries.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2022 – Jun 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$4.6K
