FUND FOR INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM INC

Programs
Program 1 [2020]
The Fund for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) operates a grant program that provides critical support for freelance and independent journalists who produce investigative stories that otherwise would never come to light. Our grantees have ideas, sources, and know-how, but lack the funds to successfully complete an investigative project. To further support their work, the organization also seeks experienced investigative journalists as mentors for its grantees. Before awarding grants, the Fund receives written commitments from news outlets that supported work will be published or broadcast as long as it meets the news organizations' standards. Journalists who receive grants from the Fund present their work in newspapers, magazines, books, on broadcast programs -- TV and radio -- and on web sites in text, audio, and video.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$523.9KSupport for Investigative Journalism
