Program 1 [2021]
Day Program The Center provides services programs and training to persons in need of rehabilitation due to intellectual disabilities. The Harford Center currently serves 128 individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities with 40 individuals in our Support Employment Program. The 88 people in our Day Program learn daily living skills along with community outings to teach them how socialization and communication skills as part of our Meaningful Day initiative. As of March 2020, this has become significantly more difficult due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Transportation Program The Center provides transportation to and from the facilities for its clients. Transportation is also provided for community outings scheduled by the Day Program and for employment and volunteer opportunities. It costs approximately $200,000 to maintain and fuel out fleet of 21 vehicles. Supported Employment This program is in it's second full year of operation. The services provides support and education for those individuals who are interested in employment. The Center currently has 10 individuals working and 30 individuals in pre vocation learning skills that will help them obtain jobs.
