    COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Outreach and education are crucial to the success of LSLT and the mission of the organization. LSLT conducted 12 outreach and education events, both virtually and in-person, reaching approximately 150 people during the year. LSLT produced and distributed 19 E-mail newsletters and announcements to an average of 1700 individuals and averaged reaching 360 people. LSLT produced and distributed 1200 Land Connections newsletters two times during the year and produced, printed and distributed 800 Field Notes, a newsletter for conservation landowners. LSLT produced 4 E-mail Field File newsletters emailed to 100 people each time. LSLT updated the organizational brochure for distribution at in-person events. LSLT was recognized with the 2020 Environmental Service Award by Salisbury Chamber of Commerce

    LAND CONSERVATION: The Lower Shore Land Trust settled on 2 mitigation easements, 1 with the Maryland Department of the Environment and Army Corps of Engineers permanently protecting 8.55 acres and 1 with Maryland Department of the Environment and Chesapeake Bay Trust permanently protecting 11.26 acres; 1 Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program easement permanently protecting 75.18 acres; 1 with Maryland Environmental Trust, North America Wetland Conservation Act, and National Fish and Wildlife Foundation easement permanently protecting 1066.7678 acres; 2 Dividing Creek Rural Legacy easements totaling 151.61 acres; 1 Quantico Creek Rural Legacy easement totaling 171.5 acres.

SIX CONSERVATION EASEMENTS TOTALING 1917.56 ACRES WERE NEGOTIATED IN ADDITION TO THOSE THAT WERE SUBMITTED, AND ARE EXPECTED TO BE SUBMITTED FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL IN 2024 AND 2025.
