The Advocacy Project

Programs
Program 1 [2020]
The Advocacy Project AP offered year-round support to eight vulnerable communities in the Global South. AP partnered with seven community-based advocacy groups who represented the communities in Vietnam, Nepal, Uganda, Zimbabwe. Kenya, Mali and the Occupied Palestinian Territory. AP reported on the work of partners through 15 news bulletins which were opened by 17,304 readers and widely disseminated online. AP helped four groups of women and girls to tell their story through embroidered blocks which were then assembled into advocacy quilts. AP deployed five graduate students with technical support skills Peace Fellows to Nepal, Zimbabwe, Kenya and Uganda in 2019. In addition to this frontline support, 13 undergraduate volunteers helped AP to back up Fellows and support partners from Washington.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2020 – Dec 31, 2020Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$56.3KAdvocacy and Support for Vulnerable Communities
