The Rotary Club of Washington DC established the Rotary Foundation of Washington, DC in July 1922 to support its works of charity of every description in Washington DC. The Club expanded its mission to include the greater Washington area (DMV). Among the Foundations service accomplishments in 2023, it gave $195,000 in grants to entities in the DMV and $28,900 to international entities. It also provided $7,000 in support of a career fair for students at Richard Wright Charter School, $10,000 for luggage for foster children and $4,000 to various entities that were victims of natural disasters.
