Healthcare Quality Improvement Initiatives
HQI LEADS FEDERALLY FUNDED HEALTHCARE QUALITY IMPROVEMENT INITIATIVES WITH DISADVANTAGED AND LOWER-PERFORMING PROVIDERS, INCLUDING MORE THAN 1,000 NURSING HOMES AND 119 HOSPITALS ADVANCING CLINICAL AND OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE. WE ALSO ENGAGE POPULATION HEALTH STAKEHOLDERS IN COMMUNITIES THAT HAVE HIGHER RATES OF CHRONIC DISEASE AND FEWER RESOURCES. HQI HELPS HOSPITALS IN 23 STATES AND TERRITORIES DECREASE AVOIDABLE PATIENT HARMS, SUCH AS SEPSIS, AND HAS ACCELERATED MORE EFFECTIVE INFECTION PREVENTION IN NURSING HOMES.
