Despite the global pandemic, during 2020, the Foundation supported 36 students from Honduras, Bolivia and El Salvador. Support was granted through partner non-profit organizations, educational institutions and direct grants to support the individual needs of scholars. In some cases, funds were provided for computers to enable scholars to attend classes on-line. In 2020 students in university studied dentistry, nursing, tourism, finance, business, and nutrition. LaBECA gives support through nonprofit organizations, educational institutions and direct tuition grants to individuals and their schools. The funds provide for low-income women & girls who are pursuing educational objectives. In some cases, funds were provide for computers and other equipment required to complete coursework. In 2024, students in university studied a broad array of subjects, including: dentistry, tourism, nutrition, education, engineering and finance. In 2024, three scholars completed high school and then continued to university.
