Reduced-Cost Clean Energy Installation Program
Reduced-Cost Clean Energy Technology Installation: 97 reduced-cost residential retrofit grid-tied solar photovoltaic systems installed for low-energy-use homeowners, for a total of 514.1 kilowatts of residential generating capacity. Average installed cost for the residential systems before subsidies was $2.45/watt, versus the local average installed cost for systems of the same type of approximately $2.85/watt. 8 reduced-cost nonresidential retrofit grid-tied solar photovoltaic systems installed for nonprofit organizations, for a total of 206.5 kilowatts of nonresidential generating capacity. Average installed cost for the nonresidential systems before subsidies was $2.00/watt, versus the local average installed cost for systems of the same type of approximately $2.45/watt. 720.6 kilowatts of solar installed in total. 25 high-efficiency electric heat pump water heaters installed replacing gas-fired water heaters in homes. Leveraging local rebates, average heat pump water heater project cost as invoiced to homeowners was $1200.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJun 1, 2021 – May 31, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$1.7MVolunteer Training and Solar Installation Program
