FOUNDED IN 1977, HILL LEARNING CENTER IS A HUB FOR EQUITABLE AND DIFFERENTIATED, RESEARCH-BASED PRACTICES FOR SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES AND/OR ATTENTION CHALLENGES. THROUGH A RANGE OF K-12 STUDENT AND EDUCATOR PROGRAMS, AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS WITH LEADERS IN THE FIELD, HILL ASPIRES TO ENSURE STUDENTS WITH LEARNING AND ATTENTION CHALLENGES RECEIVE THE INSTRUCTION AND SUPPORT THEY NEED, REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY ATTEND SCHOOL OR WHETHER THEY HAVE A FORMAL DIAGNOSIS. HILL LEARNING CENTER SERVES A RANGE OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL STUDENTS, TEACHERS, SCHOOLS, AND SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN FOUR DISTINCT PROGRAM AREAS: SCHOOL, SUMMER, TUTORING, AND EDUCATOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. HILL LEARNING CENTER IS ACCREDITED BY THE SOUTHERN ASSOCIATION OF COLLEGES AND SCHOOLS AND IS A MEMBER OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS. HILL LEARNING CENTER SUPPORTS STUDENTS, EDUCATORS, AND FAMILIES WITH RESEARCH-BASED, CULTURALLY RELEVANT PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF STUDENTS WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES, ATTENTION CHALLENGES, GAPS IN FOUNDATIONAL ACADEMIC SKILLS, AND DIFFICULTIES WITH EXECUTIVE FUNCTION. HILL SERVES STUDENTS IN GRADES K-12 THROUGH SCHOOL, SUMMER, AND TUTORING PROGRAMS AT HILL AND IN LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS AND OFFERS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR K-12 TEACHERS AND SCHOOLS, PROVIDING AN UNDERSTANDING OF LEARNING DISABILITIES AND ADHD AND THE INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES AND TOOLS TEACHERS NEED TO DELIVER RESEARCH-BASED INSTRUCTION AND INTERVENTION IN READING, WRITING, MATH, AND EXECUTIVE FUNCTION SKILLS. HILL LEARNING CENTER ALSO HELPS FAMILIES BETTER UNDERSTAND, SUPPORT, AND ADVOCATE FOR THEIR CHILDREN WITH LEARNING DIFFERENCES AND ATTENTION CHALLENGES.
