  • Firewise Education Program

    CLL currently operates with an agreement with the USFS and the NCFS to educate the citizens and communities about the importance of being "Firewise." This program helps create defensible space around their homes that should help protect them in case of wildfires. CLL works with forest rangers in each of its counties to coordinate these efforts. CLL has conducted more than 45 of these workshops as well as holding mitigation days to clear away debris.
