Mediation Services Program
MMC Staff and trained volunteers provide mediation services through court-connected programs to resolve domestic relations cases and small civil claims, before a jury trail or other means of adjudication. Volunteers also may serve as a neutral third party to address workplace, neighborhood, real estate or other disputes as an alternative to the litigation process. Volunteer mediators provide over 682 hours of service valued at $105,080 in fiscal year 2021. Clients with modest incomes are able to take advantage of a sliding-scale fee for the mediated sessions. MMC staff facilitate various training programs, including a course to equip lay mediators for magistrate court and community cases. Small, informal group sessions also are organized to educate the public about the merits and methods of peaceful conflict resolution and to provide opportunities to learn and practice skills.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJul 1, 2021 – Jun 30, 2022Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$159.6K
