BlUE DOOR ART GALLERY at 13 Riverdale Avenue, Yonkers, NY We present widely attended and critically-acclaimed fine art exhibitions in an accessible and welcoming environment. Since 2002 we have exhibited over 300 exhibitions in venues throughout Westchester County featuring over 800 established and emerging artists from our local and regional community showcasing nationally noted artists. Twice a year we celebrate our over 200 artist members with an exclusive members-only exhibition. ARTIST MEMBERSHIP BDAC members’ work is promoted on our website by providing a page for each artist with links to their website, images of their work, their resumes and artist statement. Members also are given special exhibition opportunities, discounts in our on-line store and members-only events. PUBLIC ART PROJECTS Blue Door Art Center has initiated a number of public art projects including installation of sculpture throughout the city, decorating of outdoor planters and receptacles and the creation of a series of ‘art banners.’ SPECIAL EVENTS BDAC publishes books on many of its outstanding exhibitions and makes available the chap books of our poets. We conduct community art programs at the gallery including monthly “Open Mic” and jazz performances, writing and children’s workshopsGeographiesYonkers, NY, USA;Westchester County, NY, USA;Hudson Valley, NY, USA;New York, USADatesNot indicatedSourceUser-generatedArtist's services,Arts education,Cultural awareness,Ballet,Spoken word,Public arts,Visual arts,Community improvement,Urban renewal,Continuing education,Special needs education,Antidiscrimination,Diversity and intergroup relations,Freedom of association and expressionAge groups,Family relationships,Gender and sexual identity,People with disabilities,At-risk youth,Economically disadvantaged people,Students,Teachers,Retired people,Unemployed people12K–
