Environmental Education Grants
Grants are awarded to public schools and nonprofit organizations that serve youth ingrades K-12 for hands on environmental education projects. Grants are given based on the positive environmental impact that should result from the proposed project, the ability for the project to be sustainable over time and the project;s effectiveness in using an investigagtive approach and student direct learning. Through the grants awarded, students have the opportunity to repair damage to ecosystems in their communities and in many cases prevent further deterioration.
