    GRC Accomplishments 2024 Held a webinar in April 2024 with the National Recycling Partnership, providing an overview of their State of Residential Recycling Report and discussing stats and opportunities for Georgia. Held a 2-day Glass Recycling Forum in May 2024 (our 3rd since 2015) with a webinar featuring glass recycling experts and a facility tour on day 2. Provided resources to members in recognizing Food Waste Prevention Week 2024, with multiple social media posts distributed to 80 local program managers to share in their communities. Sponsored a school art contest for ages 5-19, launched on America Recycles Day in November 2024 and culminating with awards on Earth Day 2025. Second-year project. Facilitated International Compost Awareness Week activities in May 2024 Continue twice-weekly distribution of the #RecycleRightGA campaign for social media to recycling program managers and educators around the state. (80 subscribers) Continued work with the Georgia Composting Councilassisting the board and committees on multiple programs/projects, including their 2nd training, compost site tour/equipment demo, and reception at a local brewery in Laurens Co. The first-year event was held in Athens-Clarke County. Partnered with the SWANA GA Chapter in observing Waste & Recycling Workers Week in June 2024. Featuring industry workers in multiple social media posts throughout the week. Held the first joint conference with the SWANA GA Chapter in September 2024: The Power of Partnership event included 270 attendees, 50 exhibitors, and 40 speakers over three days. Celebrated America Recycles Day (Nov 15) with social media outreach for our local recycling program managers to share in their communities. (80 subscribers)
