  • Library Support and Enhancement

    The Mission of the Greater Largo Library Foundation is to support the Largo Public Library through cultivating funding resources and advocating for the Library to enhance innovative library services for the community's educational and social enrichment. Improved Access to Library Services. The Foundation provided the following: The Bookmobile (currently 81 outlets) and Home Delivery Service (door to door service; currently 22 outlets).The Foundation received funding for the beautification of the Community Butterfly Garden, located in the courtyard of the Largo Public Library by a friend to our community. The garden provides library patrons an enhanced area to read, relax and learn about plants and butterflies. Continued services for library patrons include English language leaning, mobility scooters, story porch listening stations, bookshelves in the children' area and teen room displays. Sponsorships opportunities made possible by a Foundation donor for 20 students to enroll and obtain a High School Diploma through the Career Online High School at the Largo Public Library. Grants were available from the Foundation to graduates of Largo Public Library's Career Online High School who enroll in college or a trade school.
