The organization held its annual 3-day meeting virtually this year. Many members were in virtual attendance with speakers encouraging advancement in the practice of interventional pain medicine. The organization has over 4,000 members. The organization held a virtual comprehensive board review course in pain medicine and interventional pain management during the year. Competency certification was offered. Review courses in regenerative medicine imaging controlled substance management and documentation coding compliance and practice management were also offered virtually throughout the year. These courses were held as a CME activity to prepare for competency certification.
