    The Giving Spirit adapted its model to the changes brought about by the pandemic. Instead of holding public and private events to produce educational programs and kits under its umbrella of homeless outreach programs Duffle bag and Backpack Homeless Outreach Women's and Girls Initiative Backpacks and School Supplies for LAUSD Homeless Students Homeless with Companion Animals Program and New Mother Program The Giving Spirit held smaller events with fewer volunteers following national state and local health guidelines to serve 16,000 homeless lives in 2020 with distribution safely handled through our agency partners in Greater Los Angeles.
