Community Awareness and Outreach Programs
Publishing, printing, and mailing of a monthly newsletter reaches over 4000 people directly, and is available to the public on line or our website. The annual Resource Book was published and distributed at the annual dinner. The organization continues to display billboards in the Metro area promoting respect for human life. Three offices serving three counties are open daily for our members, service groups, and the public. The Main office houses the Wee Care program that provides clothing and supplies for newborn, and educa- tional materials for mothers. We served over 450 families. This program also hosts Baby Showers held in the communities at various churches. The Youth Director(s) serve at the chapter offices. Educational seminars, conferences are made availabe to students to attend. The annual March for Life in Washington D.C. in January is open to all High School student in the tri-county area. The Youth Director facil- itates this event for students who register. Promotion and preparation include securing charter buses, food and lodging, and supervision and chaperones.
