NFRC 10/1/22-9/30/23 Achievements-Provided project management support to the North Flint Food Market to include the following tasks and achievements: -Community & Member-owner Engagement (Facilitated monthly store planning and member engagement meetings) -Coop Membership Recruitment and Retention-Coordination of North Flint Food Market Board of Directors -Participation in national/regional coop board governance training & development-Coordination and store pre-operations planning of human resources company, retail and business analysts, Michigan State University researcher and evaluator, nutritionist, coop consultants, and New Market Tax Credits advisors, attorneys and accountants -Fund development and grant writing for store sustainability.-Secured funding to support establishing of the North Flint Food Market-Maintained and cultivated community partnerships with the Crim Foundation, Flint Farmers Market, local growers and artisans, Food Cooperative Initiative, Michigan Good Food Fund, Fair Food Network, and local and regional healthy food advocates -Hired administrative assistant to manage coops membership database -Submission of grant compliance reports to funders-Hired, managed, and tracked procurement and installation of store equipment, security system, WIFI, POS, and firewall systems -Oversee facility maintenance, grounds keeping and store/site security-Provided peer support and advisory consultation to store start-up ventures in Jackson, Michigan, Chicago, Illinois, Shreveport, Louisiana, and Columbia, South Carolina-Subsidized North Flint Food Market to support ongoing pre-opening planningGeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2022 – Sep 30, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$561.8K
