Beef Promotion and Education Program
TO EFFECTIVELY MAINTAIN AND BUILD DEMAND FOR BEEF IN TENNESSEE, NATIONALLY, AND INTERNATIONALLY BY SUPPORTING AND EXTENDING STATE AND NAITONAL MARKET DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS. THEREBY, ASSISTING U.S. BEEF INDUSTRY PARTICIPANTS TO PROSPER AMID GROWING GLOBAL COMPETITION BY SOLIDIFYING BEEF'S POSITION AS THE WORLDS MOST PREFERED PROTEIN THROUGH:(1) PROVIDING INFORMATION AT TENNESSEE DIETETICS ASSOCIATION COVENTION AND OTHER HEALTH FOCUSED MEETINGS, PROVIDING TRAINING, EDUCATIONAL KITS, AND OTHER RESOURCES TO HEALTH COORDINATORS AND GRADUATION EDUCATORS, PROVIDING HEALTH FOOD EDITORS AND PROFEESIONALS WITH RESOURCES ABOUT CONSUMER BEEF INFO, CREATE SCHOOL FOOD SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BEEF PROMOTION, AND AG IN CLASSROOM TRAINING,INFO TO TEACHERS TO USE IN CLASSROOMS TO PROMOTE HEALTHY EATING HABITS, AND COUNTY FARM FIELD DAYS FOR CHILDREN.(2) PROMOTE RETAIL/FOOD SERVICE THROUTH SPONSOR UT BEEF DAT WITH RADIO ADS AND WORK TO ENGAGE CHEFS AND CULINARY SCHOOLS WITH INFORMATIVE EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS AND EVENTS.(3)PROVIDE INDUSTRY RELATIONS THROUGH BEEF DAYS WITH INDUSTRY AND CONSUMER GROUPS, YEAR END BUYERS CARDS SUPPLIES TO STOCK YARDS, MONITOR STATE AND NATIONAL INDUSTRY ISSUES AND RESPOND TO LOCAL MEDIA WITH CURRENT AND FACTUAL INFO, RELAY LOCCAL ISSUES TO NCBA, UPDATE TBIC DIRECTORS AND INDUSTRY LEADERS TO CURRENT ISSUES AND RELAY UNIFIED INDUSTRY MESSAGES, AND INFORM INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUAL PRODUCERS ABOUT THE BEEF CHECKOFF PROGRAM THROUGH PRESS RELEASES, NEWS LETTERS, AND ANNUAL REPORTS.(4) WORK WITH INDUSTRY PARTNERS TO ESTABLISH EDUCATION AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS USING BEEF AMBASSADOR, MASTERS OF BEEF ADVOCACY, AND SOCIAL MEDIA(5) PARTICIPATE IN CONSUMER EXHIBITS, PROMOTIONS, TRADE SHOWS, AND EVENTS THAT MAXMIZE VISIBILITY AND EDUCAITONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR BEEF INFORMATION.(6) HOST 4-6 COOKING CLASSES/DEMONSTRATIONS IN DEMO KITCHEN FOR COMMUNITY AND SPECIAL GROUPS.(7) HOST GUEST CHEF APPEARANCES IN DEMO KITCHEN AND POST ON WEBSITE.(8) PURCHASE AND DISTRIBUTE CONSUMER INFORMATION AND GIVE-A-AWAYS (RECIPES,COOKBOOKS, CAPS, APRONS, CUTTING BOARDS, STICKERS, ETC)(9) PROMOTE JULY BEEF MONTH TO HIGHLIGHT BEEF'S POSITIVE ROLE IN A HEALTHY DIETGeographiesNot indicatedDatesOct 1, 2023 – Sep 30, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$540.5KProgram 1 [2025]
