  • Program 1 [2020]

    Each year APR houses between 275 to 300 animals. All animals are well fed kept clean and in a clean environment and receive medical care as needed. Dogs have 2 periods of outdoor exercise and playtime daily and are also walked by volunteers when possible. Cats reside in open rooms with multiple play areas for stimulation. All animal residents are available for adoption but will live out their lives at APR if not adopted. 351 animals were adopted in 2020.

    Our TNR program for community cats was unfortunately suspended due to the pandemic shutting down the surgical facility to which we had access.

    Education of the public as to the availability of free or low cost sterilization of animals. Unfortunately almost all of the free or low cost programs in our county have been closed due to the pandemic.
