Agro-Reforestation Program: This is an agro-forestry program which helps smallholder farmers on steep deforested land to take measures that protect the ecological and productive value of the land and increase its economic return. It does this by (1) agro-foresty training, (2) land analysis and economic development, and (5) public education and awareness Jatropha Projenous Project: This is an agro-economic development program which helps poor smallholder farmers achieve improved and stable income by (1) growing new or alternative crops, (2) improving culivation practices, (3) adding value to crop harvests, (4) developing new markets for farm commodities, (5) training (6) field research and testing of plant material and cultivation techniques, and (7) raising public awareness.
