The Freecyclery Program
The Freecyclery program donated over 240 bicycles, helmets, and locks in 2022. Partnering with local social service agencies, this program matches clients with refurbished bikes to serve as reliable and independent transportation. The Open Shop program is a twice-weekly event where volunteer hosts and mechanics assist community members using shop facilities and tools to fix and maintain their bicycles. Through skill-sharing, we can promote sustainability and empowerment while offering an affordable and accessible way to keep their bikes safe and useful. Open Shop sessions geared towards the Femme, Trans, Women, and Non-Binary (FTWN-B) community operates similarly to the other Open Shop program. In this way, we collaborate with this special underserved community in bicycling.
