OK AIM Program for Developmental Disabilities
OK AIMNumber Served: 400The OK AIM Program recruited, trained and supported volunteers to visit state-funded residences operated by private provider organizations where adults with developmental disabilities lived to evaluate the safety, living conditions, and quality of life provided. Findings were reported to the State so that concerns identified could be remediated and the service delivery and quality of life of these individuals improved. Family SupportNumber Served: 1,965The Family Support Program provided one-on-one educational support groups and advocacy for families that have children with developmental disabilities to improve their quality of life. In 2022, program staff assisted 1,965 children and families to obtain needed services. Services were offered both in person and virtually in 2022. Advocacy and Public PolicyNumber Served: 66,259The Advocacy and Public Policy Program provides a voice for people with developmental disabilities and their families as we advocate for their needs and interests; in 2022, this program served 66,259 individuals. Due to pandemic safety needs, services were offered both in-person and virtually so that we could continue serving this population.
