Fire Leadership Development Programs
The Organization supports the fire and emergency service responders in Texas and provides grants and other support to paid and volunteer firefighters and their departments across the state. In 2023, the Organization offered two leadership development courses:(1)the Fire Chief Development Program, which is intended to provide current and aspiring fire chiefs or assistant/deputy chiefs with the information they need to meet the changing demands of managing, improving, and directing volunteer and combination departments of all sizes, and (2)the Managing Officer Program, which is designed to provide effective leadership and management skills for the development of current and future personnel who aspire to be or who are currently serving as department training managers.
