Longmont Emergency Unit: The Longmont Emergency Unit is an all-volunteer organization with 22 volunteers on-call 24/7/365. They help with swift-water and dive rescue, emergency incident response (traffic accidents, SWAT callouts), missing persons, and areas where normal rescue support may not be able to deploy. In February 2022, the LEU ambulance was vandalized and totaled. The purpose of this grant was to help procure a gently-used ambulance. Through creative sourcing, a replacement was donated by the Palisade Fire Department. LEU paid for necessary repairs and the grant paid for installation of LEU equipment, re-branding the ambulance, and stocking with various medical supplies. Putting the ambulance in service restored LEU's ability to support contracts that provide an important source of income to the group, as well as an important service to the community.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2023 – Dec 31, 2023Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$3KYoung Rotary Youth Leadership Awards
