Approximately 800 runners for the marathon and 1200 runners for the ascent. Race starts in Manitou Springs and runners climb the Barr trail to the top of Pikes Peak for the Ascent and make the full round trip for the Marathon.

    Barr Trail Mountain Race - Trail race promoting fitness and allowing runners to test their physical limits along the Barr Trail. Approximately 400 runners run a 12.6-mile course at the Cog Railway Station (6,570 ft) in Manitou Springs, Colorado, ascends Pikes Peaks iconic Barr Trail to Barr Camp (10,200 ft) before turning, descending and finishing at the Barr Trailhead.
