To encourage and provide for participation in Go-Texan events of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Which also provides a qualified students with a Go-Texan Scholarship. The amount of the HLSR Scholarship is dependent upon the participation in the Go-Texan events. Applicants for all scholarships are available, and scholarships are awarded on a non-dicsriminatory basis as related to race, ethnic background or sex.
