Art League Community Engagement Programs
Established in 1914, the Art League has been run by volunteers for 109 years. Community Participation The Art League works in partnership with other local non-profits to enrich the cultural and natural environment.DiversityParticipate in citywide annual Juneteenth celebration; held retrospective exhibit of local artist and educator, Dr. Erma M. Phillips, "Through My Eyes." Kids Summer Art Classes Every year, the Art League offers a two-week-long low-cost workshop for children 8-12. Workshops Workshop classes and demonstrations are held periodically and are open to the general public. K-12 Juried Show Held in conjunction with the Grand Kids Festival in April, the show allows local students (K-12) to compete for prizes and show off their artistic abilities.
