Beginning in 2015, Goodwill has hosted an annual fund raising event known as The Lunch. Goodwill has followed a practice of distributing the full proceeds from The Lunch each year to the Foundation with the understanding that the Foundation will bear all the costs of the annual event and will make periodic distributions of the net proceeds to Goodwill to provide support for the workforce development programs. The Foundation also makes an unrelated distribution to Goodwill from its net assets.
