Support for Families of Children with Down Syndrome
Support and Activities from Diagnosis through Adulthood - From the moment of diagnosis, new and expectant parents rely on the Guild for the latest information and resources. Families receive individualized support from mentor parents (in English or Spanish) through our First Call program and have access to a wide array of social and educational opportunities like support groups, music classes, and parents' night out. As families transition into the school years and beyond, the Guild remains a constant source of information and support by hosting conferences and educational seminars where parents can learn from one another as well as national and local experts. Self-advocates with Down Syndrome along with their parents and siblings are also able to make connections and find support through social activities like Cookies with Santa and the End of Summer Bash. The Guild also provides opportunities for self-advocates with Down Syndrome ages 18 and older to enhance their skills and form life-long friendships through ongoing offerings such as book club and monthly social activities in the community.GeographiesNot indicatedDatesJan 1, 2024 – Dec 31, 2024Source990No causes providedNo populations provided–$273.7KAnnual Family Picnic for Down Syndrome Families
